Colt U.S. Property Model 1911 U.S. Army marked semi-auto pistol, .45 cal., 5” barrel with correct “P” and “H” proofs, blue finish, checkered diamond wood grips, two-tone magazine, #205823. This gun is in overall extra fine condition showing approx. 99% original finish with crisp action, sharp markings, fine bore and excellent grips with just a slight compression of a small spot of checkering on the left grip just below the top securing screw. Accompanied by Colt factory letter confirming features with stocks “Not listed”; sold to the US Government Commanding Officer, Ordnance Base Depot., Greenville Piers, Jersey City, New Jersey, on January 21, 1918, in a shipment of 5,000 guns.
