Colt U.S. Property Model 1911 U.S. Army marked semi-auto pistol, .45 cal., 5” barrel, blue finish, checkered diamond wood grips, two-tone magazine, #216778. This gun is in overall extremely fine condition showing approx. 99%+ original finish, with sharp markings, crisp action, fine bore and excellent grips; the barrel is “P” and “H” proofed and the entire gun shows little handling. Accompanied by Colt factory letter confirming features with stocks, “Not listed”; sold to the U.S. Government, U.S. Marine Corps., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 4, 1917, in a shipment of 400 guns.
