Colt U.S. Cavalry Model SAA revolver, .45 cal., 7-1/2” barrel, blue finish, wood grips, #546. This early Ainsworth inspected Colt is in overall good condition showing some freshening to some serial numbers, earlysingle action features, good bore, italic style barrel address, grey patina on metal surfaces with some spots of erosion, brass ejector rod spring; wood grips are worn but overall good with some losses to the toes,mars and scratches from carry and use, no visible cartouches and some old trimming to the bottom of each grip; overall fit of the grips to the straps is close but likely not original to this gun. A very early CavalryModel that is hard-to-find in any condition. Est.: $6,000-$12,000.
