Colt U.S. Cavalry Model SAA revolver, .45 cal., 7-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood grips, #48331. This gun is in overall good condition showing some re-freshening of some of the markings and minor restorations but a real Henry Nettleton inspected U.S. The barrel and cylinder show approx. 40% muted finish with some scattered pin prick pitting and small spotting areas of erosion; approx. 65% light case colors on frame and hammer, very good bore, crisp action, some markings have been professionally sharpened; good grips overall showing traces of the inspectors’ cartouches (right side shows outline of cartouche, left side shows only a small portion of the cartouche’s outline). A decent Cavalry U.S. that has had some restoration. Est.: $3,500-$7,000.
