Colt U.S. Cavalry Model SAA revolver, .45 cal., 7-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood grips, #140265. This gun is in overall very good to excellent condition showing approx. 40% original blue finish on barrel assembly, trigger guard, back strap and cylinder with balance gone to a plum brown and approx. 50% original case color on frame and hammer with balance turned to a pleasing silvery color; fine bore, crisp action, sharp markings including R.A.C. inspections, cartouches on both sides of the grip bases and unit markings on the butt strap of “2 SC 39” and on the right grip crossed signal flags with a “2” and a “NY” over and under the flags and “39” below the marking. All matching visible serial numbers including the cylinder and in overall untouched condition.
