Colt U.S. Artillery Model SAA revolver, .45 cal., 5-1/2” barrel, blue and case color finish, wood grips, #10861; trigger guard is #6159 (“A” inspected); backstrap is #2984 (“A” inspected); cylinder is #4060 (“A” inspected); barrel is #4394 (no visible inspector’s mark, “P” proofed). This gun is in overall very good condition showing approx. 15% original blue on the barrel, approx. 40% original blue on the ejector rod housing, muted blue in the flutes of the cylinder, tracesof blue on the top of the backstrap, scattered silvery toning in protected areas of frame, very good bore, crisp action, very good markings; very good grips with left grip cartouche “OCH” and 1902; right grip cartouche “RAC”.
