Colt U.S. Army Model 1917 Double Action Revolver
Manufactured from 1917 to 1925. The barrel is marked "COLT DA 45" on the left side, the top has the two line Hartford address/patent dates and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the underside. The left side of the frame has the Rampant Colt and an eagle/S15 inspector mark. Matching serial number on frame and crane. Smooth walnut grips, with "U.S. / ARMY/ MODEL / 1917/ No / 153 / 187" and a lanyard ring on the butt.

Excellent. The revolver retains over 95% original blue finish with some mild thinning (mostly on the barrel and backstrap), along with minor thinning and a strong drag line on the cylinder. The grips are excellent with the exception of some minor dings and scratches.
