Colt Third Model Dragoon, .44 cal. percussion, finely cloud scroll engraved and attributed to Gustave Young, cased with accessories, serial #12379. This well recognized and documented Colt Dragoon ispictured on page 27 "The Book of Colt Engraving" by R. L. Wilson, when in the George Repaire collection. This Dragoon has been known and recognized to the Colt collecting fraternity for more than 50 years, and is also pictured in "Colt Engraving", page 35, and many other publications on Colt firearms by Wilson and other authors. The cloud scroll series of Colt Dragoons fall between #12365 and #12410 with onlyapproximately a dozen examples known. They are among the most desirable and sought after of all engraved Colt arms, and are rare by any standard. The revolver remains in original very good+ condition, with 30-50%original blue on barrel, evenly thinning on high points and edges. The markings are sharp, the metal is extremely crisp. We are open Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Little John's will be closed the Friday after the auction. Preview on October 27th 7 28th 9:00 to 11:00 am each day.

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
