Colt Single Action Bisley model revolver, .44-40 caliber, 4-3/4” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, hard-rubber grips, serial #301478. The Bisley shows correct Bisley model and Colt Frontier Sixshooter marking on left side of barrel and remains in very good plus original condition. The barrel shows 50-70% original blue thinning at the edges and left front of muzzle. The front sight has been trimmed slightly. The ejector rod housing shows 50-60% blue thinning on the edge. The cylinder shows 50-60% original blue finish with an index line between the cylinder stop and some loss at the front and edges. The frame shows 60-80% case hardening, toning and drifting slightly, with some areas of rainbow colors still showing strong. The backstrap and triggerguard show 30-50% thinning original blue. The grips are good to very good with some wear at the edges, a couple dings, mars, and slight smoothing from carry. The action is good, the bore is bright and very good plus. All matching visible serial numbers. A very nice Bisley in uncommon 4-3/4” barrel just showing some carry and use. From the Howard “Bud” Goebel collection. Est: $1,500 - $3,000
