Colt Single Action Bisley Model target or flat-top revolver, .44 S&W cartridge, blued finish, hard-rubber grips, serial #186451. Factory letter confirms barrel length, .44 Russian caliber, shipped to W. S. Brown, Pittsburg, PA, September 23, 1899, two guns in shipment. Note: .44 S&W cartridge marked Bisleys letter as .44 Russian, which is how the Colt Factory described .44 S&W caliber. The pistol remains in fine to near excellent condition with 90-95% original blue, some slight losses at the edges and muzzle, a slight index line between cylinder stops and slight loss along the edge of the ejector rod housing. The markings are sharp, the edges are crisp, the grips very good plus to near fine with just slight discoloration. The hammer shows 90% plus bright case hardening. The small parts and screws show bright original finish. The action is tight, the bore is excellent, all serial numbers are matching.
