Colt Single Action Army revolver early second-generation in .45 long Colt caliber with 5 ½” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, hard rubber grips, fully cattle brand engraved on barrel, cylinder, back strap and trigger guard. The cattle brand engraving shows stippled background and is hand engraved probably by Weldon Bledsoe or possibly Cole Agee. This pistol remains in excellent condition with 98% to 99% originalblue and case hardening with no discoloration in the engraved bright areas. The action is good and the bore is excellent. The Colt has seen very little use. Our consignor states that the engraving was done more than 30years ago as it was engraved when he purchased it. Est.: $1,500-$3,000.
