Colt Single Action Army revolver US marked Cavalry Series, 45 long Colt caliber, 7 ½” barrel, traces of blue and case hardened finish, serial number 112561 inspected by D. F. C. A factory letter is included andconfirms shipment to United States government at Colt plant on November 6, 1884 with 150 guns in shipment. A documenting letter by recognized Midwest dealer is included also. This Colt retains approximately 10% to 20%original blue and case hardening drifting to a light gray to brown patina with some scattered erosion and surface pitting. The revolver was cleaned long ago and now has aged back nicely. There are some areas ofvery colorful blue and case hardening where protected. The markings are very good and sharp. The front sight has been slimmed just a little on its’ front edge. The grips are in very good plus to near fine conditionshowing 1884 date and inspection cartouche buy Frank Heath on left side. The right grip shows a DFC cartouche which is mostly visible. All matching visible serial numbers and all correct military parts. Good action
