Colt Single Action Army revolver, US Cavalry series, .45 caliber, 7-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood grips, frame #61082. The revolver remains in good to very good condition showing 10-20% original bluedrifting to patina with some scattered light to moderate erosion and pinprick pitting. Some slightly heavier pitting on the front of the barrel and left side of frame where it has been cleaned long ago. The grips appearto be well made arsenal replacements and show no markings. The Colt shows a full complement of military marks and DFC inspections. The front sight has been narrowed slightly. The action good, bore very good. There is an overall appearance of having been rusted in a holster and cleaned during the period of its use as there is some bright finish where it was not affected. Dr. Sterling Fenn collection.
