Colt Single Action Army revolver, U.S. cavalry issued, Colt bought-back and barrel factory shortened to 4-13/16”. Factory stamped triggerguard .45 caliber on front of triggerguard bow, left side. In very goodplus to near fine original condition showing most of its original blue and case hardened finish, wood cartouched grips. Refer: Colt Cavalry and Artillery Revolvers Kopec and Fenn, page 168 and 169, where it isillustrated and discussed. Serial #112325. Authors state there are 8 known of this type with 4- 13/16” barrel. The revolver shows all matching visible serial numbers, DFC inspections, with complete sub-inspections,U.S. marked frame, 1884 cartouche grip, with initials of Frank Heath on left, DFC on right. The barrel and cylinder show 40-60% original bright blue with some even flaking and toning, some just beginning normal aging. The front sight is its full original dimension showing its correct feathering or polishing, with military finish around the front sight. The fame shows 75-85% case hardening with some good rainbow colors still
