Colt Single Action Army revolver, .45 long colt caliber, 4 ¾” barrel with traces of blue and case hardened finish gone to brown, replacement wood grips, serial number 150531 made about 1896-1897. The metal surfaces show a gray to brown patina finish with some traces of blue mostly on the barrel and some cleaning long ago. The barrel address is two line and shows well. The front sight is a replacement. All matching serial numbers. There are the letters E.E. stamped on the top edge of the frame. There is another letter C stamped on the rear of the back strap. The wood grips are from an older single action and have been reshaped and altered to fit. The action is good, the bore is bright and also good. The muzzle appears to have been crowned very slightly and there are a few small replacement screws and small parts. We sold this Colt more than 20 years ago and we recall that the stamps had something to do with a movie or production company or an individual actor but that information has been lost. Est.: $1000-$2000
