Colt Single Action Army revolver, .45 caliber, 7-1/2” barrel, early civilian series with two-line patent date, serial #26932, made approx. 1875. Factory letter confirms all features except stocks “Not Listed”.Shipped to H&D Folsom Arms Co., New York, NY, September 27th 1876. 50 guns in shipment. The revolver remains in original good to very good condition showing traces of original blue and case hardened finish whereprotected. Evenly drifting to a grey patina with some scattered light erosion and pinprick pitting. There is some bright blue in the flutes of the cylinder and where protected, bottom of ejector rod housing,approx. 5-10%. The wood grips are good with some small tacking marks from hammering horseshoes on the bottom, a couple small losses, but generally good overall with good sharp barrel address and fully legible patent dates. The front sight shows blue and is nearly its full height slimmed just slightly. There are some marks on the bottom of the barrel from removing cylinder pin.
