Colt Single Action Army revolver, .45 cal., 4-3/4" barrel, blue and case hardened finish, hard rubber grips, shipped to E. J. Post & Co., Albuquerque New Mexico, March 5, 1890, ten guns in shipment, with all featuresverified by factory letter, serial #124518. The barrel shows 60-80% original blue, thinning on left side from being carried in a right hand holster. The ejector rod housing shows 20-30% blue, flaking and drifting onthe edge; the front sight has been trimmed and markings are sharp on the barrel. The cylinder shows 20-30% blue mostly in the flutes, drifting on the edges. The frame shows traces of case hardening within asilvery gray patina, with some slight color at the front of frame. The 3-line patent dates are sharp, the .45 marking crisp and visible on front trigger guard bow; the hard rubber eagle grips are slightly undersizedand may be from another Colt. The left side of the barrel shows 45 Colt marking. All matching visible serial numbers; good action, good bore, about 30% mottled case hardening on the hammer. Western shipped black powder
