Colt Single-Action Army revolver, .44 S&W special and Russian dual caliber, 5-1/2” barrel, blued and case hardened finish, shipped to Tufs-Lyon Arms Co, Los Angeles, CA, October 1928, one gun in shipment, factory letter confirms all features, serial #352740. The revolver remains in fine to near excellent original condition showing 90-095% original blue on barrel, some slight loss at the muzzle, a couple of minor scratches and marks on the left side, but generally crisp and still inky and bright. The front sight has been slimmed just a hair at the top. The ejector rod housing shows 90% blue with some loss at the front edge. The cylinder show 85-95% blue, some slight losses at the edges, feint index line, normal aging. The frame show 80-90% case hardening, still very colorful, some minor erosion and drifting just starting. The backstrap and triggerguard show 75-85% original blue with some loss on the backstrap from sweat and handling and some minor light erosion. The grips show a small chip from left bottom edge, some slight edge wear, normal use, and at least very good and would be near fine other than the chip. The hammer, 85% plus original case hardening.
