Colt Single Action Army revolver, .44-40 caliber, blackpowder era, barrel reduced to 6-1/2”, traces of blue and case hardened finish, hardrubber grips, serial #162082. The revolver shows approx. 20-40% of an old reblued finish which has been cleaned to bright over most of the Colt’s surface. The front sight has been set back to the shorter barrel length and reshaped. The barrel shows Colt Frontier Six Shooter markings and barrel address and patent dates are visible. The hardrubber grips are from a later Colt and have been fitted. Some small parts are replaced including cylinder pin. Action good, bore fair to good. The numbers on the frame, backstrap, and triggerguard are matching. Est: $900 - $1,800
