Colt Single Action Army revolver, .44-40 caliber, 5 ½” barrel with roll dye marking, fully and finally silver and gold overlay in classic pre-war Mexican-style with cast silver Mexican grips showing gold applied accents with Mexican snakes, Eagles and classic Aztec designs. The revolver has been fire blued and remains in fine to near excellent condition as refurbished when decorated. This single action serial number 253169 is confirmed by factory letter as to caliber and barrel length but originally shipped nickel with pearl grips to F. Wilmans and Company in Durango, México May 10, 1904 with 6 guns in shipment. This revolver is cased in a fine rosewood casing with a brass plaque that is hand engraved “Wild Bill Elliott’s Gun”.
