Colt Single Action Army revolver, .44-40 caliber, 4-3/4” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, hard-rubber grips, serial #354771. The single-action shows Colt Frontier Sixshooter .44-40 rolled die marking on left side of barrel, with high shark-fin type front sight, and two-line barrel address, which is all correct for late production .44-40. The barrel and ejector rod housing show 92-98% original blue, just some slight thinning at the edges. The cylinder shows 80-90% original blue, with some losses at the edges and an index line between the cylinder stops and some minor scratches. The frame shows 80-90% case hardening, naturally aging and toning with some good strong rainbow colors. The backstrap and triggerguard show 90-95% original blue, just slightly drifting on the backstrap. The cylinder is numbered to match, the hammer is correct late type with polished sides and blued back. The grips are a close fit but not exact and are probably replacements. The markings are sharp, the action is crisp, the bore is near excellent. A hard to find late .44-40. Est: $3,000 - $6,000

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
