Colt Single Action Army revolver, .44-40 cal., 4-3/4" barrel, blue and case hardened finish, hard rubber grips, in very good original condition retaining considerable original finish, serial #145203. Colt wasshipped 3/15/1892 to Simmons Hardware in St. Louis with all features verified except grips not listed as per consigner's notes, who called the factory and received the information from Marty Huber long ago, but no letter at time of cataloging. The pistol retains approximately 50-70% original bright blue on barrel with good address and sharp roll die marked Colt Frontier Six Shooter. The loss of blue on left side from beingcarried in a right hand holster (the right side of the barrel is near mint). The ejector rod housing shows 90-95% original blue, the cylinder shows 40-60% blue drifting on the edges to a light patina. The frameshows 60-70% case hardening that is dulling and toning on the left, still colorful on right. The backstrap and trigger guard show 30-60% original blue; the grips fit impeccably and are at least very good with
