Colt Single Action Army revolver .41 caliber, 4-3/4” barrel, renickel finish, double-carved ivory grips, serial #213810 with John Wilson tag attached. The John Wilson collection was formed in Texas and New Mexico and there were several generations of gun collectors who acquired Western historic arms in this ranching family. The pistol shows an old renickel finish of which approx. 90% remains. The markings have beenpolished and are light. The front sight has been trimmed. There is some erosion and pitting where the nickel has lifted. The grips are nicely carved in an American Eagle motif on both sides and are well aged and may be walrus ivory.
