Colt Single Action Army revolver, .38-40 caliber, factory 6-1/2” barrel, factory deluxe engraved by master engravers Howard Dove and Dennis Kies. Nickel plated, smooth ivory grips, full Western scenes, screwlessframe, serial #S05365A. Pictured in a two-page color spread, Colt Engraving Book, Vol. II in the Robert Petersen section. Colt Custom Shop order #CS530, the information listed in the Colt Engraving Book ispartially erroneous. In original Custom Workshop box with correct end label. The condition is excellent to new, no evidence of firing or use, just slight handling, 99-100%. The left side of frame shows cowboyroping steer, rampant Colt on recoil shield, Indian on his pony on right, Tee-pees forward of the frame, panel insets on cylinder of tomahawks, tee-pees, other Western motifs, extra fine and deluxe scroll engravingthroughout by master with Indian chief on backstrap, cross spears on front of barrel, fancy engraved sight and other deluxe motifs.
