Colt Single Action Army Revolver
Manufactured in 1903. Fixed blade front sight and frame notch rear sight. The top of the barrel is marked "COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. / HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.", "38 W.C.F." on the left side and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the circled Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is stamped on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top. Consignor notes on tag say that the nickel finish will letter. Writer believes it to be correct, but has no letter to verify.

Condition: Very fine. The revolver retains 75% plus original nickel finish with much of the finish beginning to "frost" and overall scattered flaking and high point wear. There is some minor pitting on the forward area of the ejector housing. The grips are fine showing moderate wear, a couple of bruises and a few minor dings. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
