Colt Single Action Army Revolver with Factory Letter
Manufactured in 1906. Two line address on top of the barrel, "32 W.C.F." on the left side and the two line, three patent dates on the left side of the frame followed by the circled Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and backstrap, with the partial number "8825" on the inside of each grip panel. Casehardened frame and hammer, and blue on the remaining parts. Fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the tops. The accompanying factory letters (dated 11/27/85 and 03/26/82) verify the caliber, barrel length, blue finish with grips as "Not Listed" and that it was shipped as 1 of 3 to Charles J. Godfrey Co., New York, N.Y. on June 26, 1906.

Condition: Fine as partially refinished. The barrel, ejector housing and grip frame retain 85% of the original blue finish with areas of touch up cold blue. There is some moderate wear and minor pitting on the left side of the muzzle. The cylinder shows traces of original blue finish, mostly in the cylinder stops, with the balance having been cold blued. The frame and hammer retains 60% original faded originalcase colors mainly on the left side of the frame and on the hammer with the balance having a smooth mottled gray patina. The grips are excellent with a few minor dings and crisp checkering. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
