According to the included factory letter, this revolver was part of a 20-piece order shipped to Simmons Hardware Company of St. Louis, Missouri on 18 March 1905. The grips are "Not Listed" otherwise the major features of the revolver are confirmed in the letter. Fixed sights, with the 2-line Hartford address and "32 W.C.F." on the barrel, patent markings on the left side of the frame next to the circled Rampant Colt, "E" in the hammer cut and "3747" on the loading gate. Checkered grips with the Rampant Colt logo at the tops.
BBL: 4 3/4 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 32 WCF
Finish: blue/casehardened
Grips: hard rubber
Serial Number: 265243
Condition: Good, with traces of the original blue finish, concentrated in the protected areas, with a mixed gray patina overall, scattered handling marks and areas of pitting. The front sight has been altered, and the replaced, refinished ejector housing is ill-fitting. The frame has turned gray, with traces of case color in the hammer cut. Grips are good, with a pair of letters scratched into the butt and partially buffed out, and mild pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
