Colt Single Action Army Revolver, .45 caliber 5-1/2" barrel, nickel finish, wood grips, serial #109248 with "L. Gallatin & Co Cheyenne Wyoming Territory" marked holster. The Colt shows approx. 95-98% old renickeled finish and barrel shortened from 7-1/2" to 5-1/2". The markings and patent dates are legible and fairly sharp. The grips are refinished nicely. The interior is good. The nickel is old and probably 19th century and shows some creeping rust, erosion, and slight pinprick pitting in those areas where the nickel has lifted. The holster shows repairs and rebacking with good marking. An interesting 1880's period rig which has been together all its life as the holster is for a 7-1/2" barrel (This Colt's original length). From a local estate, this single action has never been lettered from the factory. Est: $3,000 - $6,000
