Colt Single Action Army Revolver, .41 caliber 7-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, shipped to Sears Roebuck & Co, Chicago, IL April 24th, 1906, 3 guns in shipment, serial #270061. All features confirmed by factory letter except grips not listed. This 7-1/2” barrel in a .41 caliber colt is very scarce and desirable to collectors with an estimated 2-5% produced by the factory with a 7-1/2” barrel. Most collectors agree, approx. 100 .41 7-1/2” were produced, making this an exceedingly rare configuration. The pistol remains in original good to very good condition showing 20-40% original blue and case hardening overall, evenly aging from holstering, handling and use, with some scattered light to moderate pitting and erosion. There are some good areas of bright blue and case hardening where protected. The front sight is slimmed about half-way down. The grips show even wear. Good markings, good edges, all matching serial numbers. The hammer shows considerable case hardening. The action is tight, the bore is fair to good. The revolver has an honest carried-in-the-holster look and has seen carry and use but has been cared for. Est: $3,000 - $6,000
