Colt Single Action Army Revolver, .38-40 caliber, 4-3/4" barrel, factory engraved in Helfrecht style, nickel finish, pearl grips, sold to Victory Hardware, shipped to Simmons Hardware Company, St. Louis, MO, Aug. 21, 1909, one gun in shipment. Serial #310809. All features confirmed by factory letter, but address of Victoria Hardware not listed (Believed to be Victoria, TX). With copy of factory letter. The Colt retains 95-98% old renickeled finish, with some drifting on the front of the ejector rod housing, around the sight and muzzle. Some markings and areas of engraving slightly light but generally good overall. The extra fat pearl grips fit impeccably and are very good plus. All matching visible serial numbers.Good action, fair bore. A nice old factory engraved Single Action in a one-gun shipment which probably went West to Texas. Est: $7,000 - $14,000
