1st Generation Single action revolver manufactured in 1876 w/ factory letter. 3rd year of manufacture. Revolver has had some refurbishing over the years. Old reblued finish. Features 7-1/2" barrel, fixed sights, single piece walnut grip, round donut ejector rod head. Matching serial numbers on frame, triggerguard, backstrap and barrel under the ejector rod housing. Assembly number "1169" on loading gate. One line Hartford address on barrel, 2 line patent dates on left frame. Cylinder face stamped "H". Screw type base pin for black powder frames but the pin is not original to the gun. Bore is somewhat bright, retains good rifling with scattered patches of pin-prick pitting. Charge holes are very good. Blue is about 50%, mostly on the barrel and cylinder with holster/handling wear. Frame has traces of case color, also on the hammer. The grips are near excellent and appear to be later replacements. Markings are mostly sharp with some handling wear to the patent dates but are still readable. Action is crisp/smooth with tight lock-up.NRA Condition-Very Good+ as Refinished. Antique Firearm.
