Colt Single Action Army .41 Colt SN: 315590
'First Generation' Single action six-shot revolver chambered in .41 Colt, circa 1910. Features a blued refinish, 4 3/4" barrel with two line address, ejector rod, shortened blade front sight, 'v' notched rear sight, later hammer, fluted cylinder, and two-piece Colt checkered hard rubber grips. Includes a Colt factory letter that confirms it's configuration and states it was shipped to Simmons Hardware Company of St. Louis, Missouri on January 7, 1911 in a ten gun shipment. Revolver exhibits approximately 65% of it's blued refinish with the balance being a mixture of bare metal and brown patina. The frame & cylinder show a few small spots of dark surface rust and the hammer appears to be that of a second generation Single Action Army. Serial numbers match on frame and triggerguard, presumably on the backstrap as well, but not all numbers are present. Action is strong, bore is fair and grips are worn semi-smooth with the initials 'A.H.D.' carved in the bottom of the right panel. Condition is good. ***C&R Firearm*** ***Modern Firearm***
