American made, Colt 2nd Generation Single-Action Army revolver chambered in .38 Special, manufactured circa 1973 in Hartford, CT. Revolver features a color-case hardened frame, a blued 5-1/2" barrel, two-toned hammer with polished sides, fixed blade front sight, notched frame rear sight, thin smooth curved trigger, fluted six-round cylinder, collard cylinder pin head, birds head style ejector rod button, smooth grip straps, firing pin on hammer nose, checkered hammer spur, and checkered black hard rubber grips with 'American Eagle' and 'Rampant Colt' motifs. The frame is color-case hardened, the hammer is two-toned blued with polished sides, and the remaining components and have a blued finish. The original blued finish retained is approximately 95% with edge wear, general thinning along the barrel and cylinder, and scattered scratches. The color-case finish has faded a bit. Metal displays small scattered spots of rust on the barrel towards the muzzle, on the front sight, and trigger guard, but shows no deformation. The action functions soundly with a tight lock-up. Grips are excellent, but dirty. Bore is bright with strong rifling, and the cylinder chambers are also excellent, but dirty. This revolver includes an extra .38 Special cylinder, which shows a small spot of rust at the front edge of the cylinder.
Condition is NRA Good.
