Colt Single Action Army 2nd Gen. 45 Revolver Stag
This is an original Colt Single Action Army (SAA) Second Generation Revolver in a .45 caliber. The Post-WWII production revolver is considered the Second Generation (2nd Generation) with production starting at 0001SA and running through 73319SA serial numbers. The revolver shows a 7 1/2 inch barrel with blue finish. The revolver has a case hardened colored frame with blued six shot cylinder and scarce original stag antler grips. The revolver shows a serial number of 54754SA and was manufactured in circa 1970. The barrel is marked on the left side, "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45". The frame is marked on the left side, "PAT. SEPT. 19, 1871 JULY 2, 72 JAN. 19, 75" along with the Rampant Colt logo. The barrel and cylinder show holster use along the ends, with the frame case hardening being in very good condition with 90%+ remaining. Colt Single Action Army Second Generations are becoming more and more scarce with this particular revolver being of a more collectible nature due to its long barrel and full .45 caliber. The Colt SAA "Peacemaker" revolver is a famous piece of Americana known as the "Gun That Won the West". This is in the rare U.S. Cavalry issue styling showing the 7 1/2" Barrel and .45 caliber with an overall length of 13 inches. Modern Firearm requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
