Half of the pistols in the order were shipped to the Marine Corps Supply Annex, Barstow, California on June 30th with the other half being shipped to the Marine Corps Supply Depot at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina on July 17th. The left side of the barrel is marked with the one line address, the left side of the frame is marked with the Rampant Colt over "WOODSMAN", the left side of the slide is marked "COLT AUTOMATIC/CAL..22 LONG RIFLE" and the right side of the frame is marked "USMC PROPERTY" over the serial number. Ramped blade front and adjustable rear target sights, serrated trigger, blue Colt marked magazine, lanyard slot on the heel and fitted with brown checkered plastic grips with right hand thumb rest and the Rampant Colt in a circle on the right top.

Very fine as partially refinished (cold blue present on right side of frame). The pistol retains 85% plus original blue finish with some wear on the muzzle and high edges, some thinning to gray and brown patina on the front sides of the frame, and some mild thinning on the grip straps. The upper and front edge of the front sight have been painted red. The grips are excellent with a few tiny dings, overall light handling marks and crisp checkering. The markings are clear. The action is fine. U.S.M.C. marked Colts are highly desirable and are seldom encountered.
