Colt Second Model Dragoon percussion revolver, “MS” marked on the trigger guard below the serial number (for Massachusetts), .44 cal., 7-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood grips, #10635. This gun is in overall good condition showing an even brown patina on the barrel assembly and cylinder with approx. 35% scene visible, some scattered pin prick pitting; case color on frame and loading lever has gone to silver with scattered areas of eroision; all matching visible serial numbers, good action, bore and grips with visible inspector’s cartouche on left grip. Interesting “N” and “W” initials marked on the butt strap. A decent scarce Second Model with the rare “MS” marking. From the Richard Wolfe estate. Est.: $8,000-$16,000.
