Manufactured in 1957, the second year of production for the Second Generation Single Action Army revolvers. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address, the left side is marked "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .38 SPECIAL" and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, on the left side of the grip straps under the grip and on the inside of each grip panel. The left panel also has "WJM" scratched on the inside. Standard blade front and frame notch rear sights, casehardened frame, blue remaining parts, polished hammer sides and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top.

Condition: Very fine. The barrel and ejector housing retains 97% original blue finish with some minor wear on the muzzle and the edge of the ejector housing. The back strap retains 50% original finish concentrated on the top and butt, with the balance having a smooth plum patina. The front strap/trigger guard retain 95% original blue finish with areas of gray patina and minor spotting on the front strap. The cylinder retains 95% original blue finish with some thinning, a drag line and high edge wear. At least 98% of the original bright case colors remain on the frame. There is some minor age discoloration on the sides of the hammer. The grips are excellent with a few minor dings and crisp checkering. All markings are crisp. The action is excellent.
