Colt SAA revolver, .476 cal., 7-1/2” London addressed barrel, high tapered front sight, blue and case hardened finish, wood grips, lanyard ring, #140118, accompanied by three factory letters dated Nov. 6, 1976, July 2, 1985 and Sept. 6, 2013, all confirming caliber, barrel length, blue finish and noting type of stocks “Not Listed”, shipped to Colt’s London Agency, London, England on April 30, 1891, 6 guns in shipment; the first two letters also remark “No notation inrecords on front sight”. This gun is pictured in the Wilkersons & Hoyt book, The Official Record of The Colt Single Action Army Revolver 1873-1895 on page 378 with further notation on page 379 that during the time period of 22 years covered in thereview of Colt records, only a total of 163 regular SAAs were produced in .476 caliber (serial number range 1 thru 164100). This particular revolver is in overall fine to excellent condition showing approx. 97% original bright blue finishto the barrel and ejector housing; approx. 85% original blue on the cylinder with correct small British proofs, approx. 95% original case colors on the frame and hammer, approx. 97% original blue on the trigger guard and approx. 95% original
