Colt SAA revolver, .44-40 cal., 7-1/2” barrel, blue finish, wood grips, #67567, in overall very good + condition showing traces of muted original blue finish in protected areas with balance gone to a mixture of brown and grey patina, matching visible serial numbers, good bore and markings, action is working but does not stay on full cock, grips are overall good but slightly undersized for this gun, butt strap shows it was at one time cut for a lanyard ring base; a nice early blackpowder .44-40 with factory letter confirming features (barrel length and stocks “Not Listed) and indicating shipment to Hartley & Graham, New York, NY on August 5, 1881 in a shipment of 50 guns. Est.: $2,500-$4,000.
