Colt SAA revolver, .44/40 cal., 7-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, raised carved medallion ivory grips, #172054 with copy of factory letter confirming all features except grips (listed as rubber),shipped to Hartley & Graham, New York, NY on August 11, 1897 in shipment of 6 guns. This Colt is in overall fine condition showing approx. 65% original blue on barrel assembly, cylinder and straps; approx. 70%muted original case colors on the frame, fine bore, action and markings; grips are very good to near fine with carved steer head on right grip and Colt medallions on each grip; fit is not exact and likely from another Colt SAA; very desirable antique Colt Frontier Six Shooter with lots of finish. Buyer pays actual costs of packing, materials, shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
