Colt SAA revolver, .44-40 cal., 5-1/2” barrel, blue finish, checkered black hard rubber grips, #196053 in overall very good condition showing a grey patina to metal surfaces, scattered pinprick pitting, all matching visible numbers, holsterwear to left side of muzzle, crisp action, clear markings, good bore and worn but overall good grips with five old hash marks carved on the bottom of the right grip. Importantly, a 1981-dated factory letter accompanies this SingleAction confirming features with type of stocks “Not Listed”, showing shipment to the historic Copper Queen Mining Co. of Bisbee, Arizona on May 21, 1900 (Arizona was still only a Territory at that time), two guns in shipment. A classiclooking Frontier Six Shooter that was shipped to a great Western location, obviously carried and in a caliber reflective of the time and place where calling 911 was not yet an option in emergent situations. (C&R). Est.: $2,000-$4,000.
