Colt SAA revolver, .38 W.C.F. cal., 5-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, ivory medallion grips, #173046 in overall very good condition showing an even grey patina with traces of silvery toning in protected areas of frame, fair bore, crisp action, sharp markings and nicely fitted Colt medallion ivory grips from a later period than the gun but still very attractive on this revolver. Accompanied by a factory letter confirming caliber, barrel length and original finish with indication of original shipment with hard rubber grips; shipped to Wyeth Hardware & Mfg. Co., St. Joesph, MO. on October 9, 1897, one gun in shipment. Est.: $1,500-$3,000.
