Colt SAA blackpowder revolver, 7-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood grips, #129411, marked “S” for Stembridge Armory, supplier for the early Hollywood movie studios and twice “R K O”, indicating this gun was once in that company’sprop inventory before being acquired by Stembridge. Originally .41 caliber, converted to .44 caliber, likely by Stembridge, to fire blanks. This gun is in overall good to very good condition showing a general grey patina withtraces of original blue in protected areas, good action, bore and markings; overall good grips with large old “P S” carved into left grip. Would be interesting to further research this Single Action to determine which film(s) it appeared in; may be identifiable from old still photos; regardless, a nice early blackpowder. (Antique).
