Colt SAA .44-40 cal. SN 164xxx cased revolver with 7 1/2  barrel, blued and case hardened finish wit
with 7 1/2" barrel, blued and case hardened finish with ivory grips and lanyard ring. Includes letter, Shipped to Colt's Patent Fire-Arms Mfg. Co. London Agency London England March 23 1896. Revolver remains in good overall condition, barrel shows 90% + original bright blue, sharp markings including one line barrel address and Colt Frontier Six Shooter on left side. Front sight unaltered, ejector rod housing shows about 50%, outer area thinned and drifted to brown, cylinder approx. 70-75% bright blue, British proof marks in the flutes. Frame and hammer strong original case colors, screws unbuggered with bright blue, two line patent and Rampant Colt on left side. Back strap and bottom of butt retain 80-85% blue thinning at palm area, attached lanyard ring intact, trigger guard approx. 75% blue thinned to plum brown at finger area, trigger with vivid fiery blue. Ivory grips very good with nice mellow patina and nice fit. Includes oak partitioned case with original blue baize interior, inner lid with Army and Navy Co-Operative Society London SW label and empty Winchester 44 cartridge green label box which remains in fine condition.
