It is in .44-40 caliber and has a letter stating is was shipped to the famous Charles Ilfeld store in the New Mexico Territory, ? Winchester Repeating Arms. The frame was case hardened. This is a rare example of a true, 98+% Colt from the early 1900s! A Colt SAA in this condition books at 10K plus! Maker: Colt’s PT. F.A. Mfg. Co., Hartford, Conn. Approx. Age: July 17, 1915.
