This is an excellent Colt Python double action revolver chambered in the .357 Magnum caliber. The pistol features a bright nickel finish with 6" vented barrel having a six-shot cylinder. The grips feature competition contour grips constructed of walnut hardwood and showing the Colt medallion inlay. An oversized upgraded competition trigger has been added.. The barrel is marked "Python 357 Magnum CTG" and "Colt's Pt. F.A. Mfg. CO. Hartford Ct. U.S.A.". The now discontinued Colt Python is considered one of the premium revolvers ever created. The Python model is one of Colt’s “Snake” guns and is highly regarded and sought after by collectors. The Colt Python has been referred to by Colt historian R.L. Wilson as “the Rolls-Royce” of revolvers and firearms, and by historian Ian V. Hogg as the “best revolver in the world”. The revolver shows very good condition with much if not all of the original bright finish remaining and minimal handling wear. The right grip shows minor damage as shown. The Python measures 11.5" with a 6" barrel. Serial Number is 94534 manufactured in 1969 (early rare manufacture). Modern Pistol FFL Transfer or NICS background check required.
