Colt Pocket Navy conversion to .38RF cal., 4-1/2" octagon barrel, blue and case hardened finish, varnished wood grips with a period leather flap holster, #16415. The barrel is factory plugged and the frame shows 2-line patent date. The rightside of the barrel lug shows a large cutout and a recoil plate has been added to the rear of the frame with no loading gate. The barrel shows 50%-70% original blue drifting to patina with some erosion and pitting mostly at the muzzle; somescratches by the wedge port, but generally very good. The cylinder shows 60%-80% original cylinder scene with traces of blue drifting to brown; the frame shows traces of case hardening, the hammer shows 30%-50% case hardening; the grips are goodto very good with 50%-70% varnish, some wear at the edges and some marks just behind the trigger guard and at the top area of each grip on the inside. All matching visible serial numbers, good action, good bore, good to very good overall. Theperiod holster is a military flap style showing carry and wear but at least good overall. (Antique).
