Colt Pocket Navy (conversion) to .38 centerfire, 3-1/2” short round solid barrel, no loading gate or ejector, 1871/72 Patent dates, blue and case hardened finish, varnish wood grips, serial #317106. Also referred to New Model Breech Loading pistol type 5. Refer Colt New Police and Pocket Breech Loading Pistols by Breslin, Pirie, and Price page 75-79. The pistol remains in very good plus to near fine original condition show 60-80% bright blue on barrel, drifting on left edge of barrel and muzzle from being carried in a holster. The cylinder shows 30-50% original blue drifting at the front with some bright blue on the rear of cylinder and about 75% original scene, some areas of light erosion and pinprick pitting that are minor. The frame shows 30-50% case hardening going smoky grey on left, 75-85% colorful case hardening on right. The hammer shows 80-90% bright and colorful case hardening. The backstrap and triggerguard show 80-90% toned original silver. The varnish wood grips are very good plus to near fine with 80-90% original varnish, some nicks at the edges, slight wear, but very crisp overall with just slight handling and minor carry. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
