Colt Pocket Navy Conversion Revolver with Gove & Sons Marked Holster
The revolver has the two line Hartford barrel address, two line two July patent dates on the frame, "36 CAL" on trigger guard, and the stagecoach holdup scene on the cylinder. Matching serial number on the frame, barrel, cylinder, trigger guard, and backstrap. The loading gate has the assembly number "2847". Fitted with a one piece walnut grip. Complete with a leather open top holster stamped "41 / Gove & Sons" on the front (writer believes this to be a western gunsmith/retailer from Denver or Cheyenne). The holster has a single belt loop and an open toe.

Condition: Fine as period replated. The frame, cylinder, and gripstraps retain 80% nickel finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The cylinder has some minor spotting and some minor pitting, with most of the engraving remaining. A protective coating has been applied to the barrel which retains 70% of the nickel finish. The refinished varnished grip is slightly undersized, otherwise fine with some minor scratches and dings, with much of the varnish remaining. Barrel is slightly loose, otherwise action functions properly. The holster is very good with some minor flaking and flex wear, with tight stitching.
