Colt Pocket Navy Cartridge Conversion Revolver
Made circa 1873-1880 as a centerfire revolver, with the barrel produced without a loading lever. Brass pin and hammer notch sights, with the two line Colt Hartford, Ct. address on the top flat, Stagecoach cylinder scene, "Two July" patent dates on the left side of the frame, "36 CAL" on the left trigger guard shoulder and smooth hardwood grips. The wedge is numbered "15044", with matching full and partial numbers on the barrel, cylinder, cylinder pin, frame, and grip straps. Smooth one piece walnut grips.

Condition: Fine with 40% thinning original blue on the barrel. The barrel also shows areas of mixed brown and gray patina, and the cylinder is bright with hints of brown. Some dings and minor pitting visible overall. Traces of case color remain on the protected areas of the frame. Dark, well aged silver is visible around the trigger guard. Grip is fine, with some flat spots, pressure dents and varnish loss. Mechanically excellent.
